Local churches and other groups can support the mission of the Haiti Partnership in these ways:
Help with hurricane relief
Haiti was devastated by four major storms in the Fall of 2007, causing flooding, destroying homes, schools, and churches, and destroying much of the food supply in rural Haiti. We have already sent over $6700 in relief to Hermitage to repair the church, teachers' dorm, and other buildings which sustained damage. In order to provide additional much-needed help - seeds for crops, emergency aid for church families, etc. - we need further funding. Please make any checks payable to the 'Wyoming Conference' and write 'Haiti Partnership - Hurricane Relief' in the memo.
Schedule a presentation on the Haiti Partnership mission with your church, UMW, UMM, or youth group
Team members are available for PowerPoint presentations and talks about their experiences and the overall mission of the Partnership.
Provide financial support for a team member
All team members are responsible for their own expenses, including transportation. Churches and groups can contribute money to help defray these costs.
Donate to the Haiti Partnership
In addition to the funds received from the Great 50 Days Offering, other contributions are welcomed and will help support the projects and ministry of the Partnership. See our home page for more information on making a donation. Your financial support will help send many children to school, help provide clean water for this village, provide relief from the devastation following this season's hurricanes, and form an additional micro-credit group.
